Connect a condition with its usual result.
Use if + present simple, present simple for things that usually happen or are generally true. Both parts use the present, even when the sentence describes a result. Begin with the if part and add a comma, or put the result first without a comma. Keep using -s with he/she/it.
A: What do you do if it rains?
B: If it rains, I take an umbrella.
A: What do you do if you are cold?
B: If I am cold, I wear a coat.
