Lesson 12 of 13 · A1–A2

Possible weekend plans

Talk about a possible situation and what you will do.

1. Grammar: First conditional: if + present, will + verb

Use if + present simple, will + base verb for a possible future situation and its result. Do not put will in the if part: If it rains, I will stay home. Will is the same for every subject. Will not becomes won’t. Going to describes an existing plan; this pattern says what will happen if a condition is met.
